There is something for everyone at the 10th Annual Great Canadian Kayak Challenge & Festival.  This non-gated event is a showcase of kayak & canoe challenges, seminars & workshops, arts & culture exhibitors & vendors, live performing arts which include free admission to live concerts both Friday & Saturday night, an interactive  Aboriginal village, fireworks, and children’s activities. This end of summer celebration occurs in Timmins, Ontario August 24, 25 and 26th 2018.

The Timmins Fur Council will be celebrating its 50th anniversary by hosting the official annual Rendezvous sponsored by the Ontario Fur Managers Federation (OFMF). The OFMF will come to Timmins to hold its annual convention that weekend and will be celebrating its 24th anniversary as part of the rendezvous.

And the True North Voyageur Brigades will host a week-long canoe trek from Matheson to Iroquois Falls to Cochrane, back to Frederick House River, to Night Hawk Lake and then to the Mattagami River for a grand arrival at the kayak event. It is all set to take place on Friday, Aug. 24, Saturday, Aug. 25 and Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018.
