
“Art in the Park” is an annual, two-day, outdoor, community arts event that is held in conjunction with The Great Canadian Kayak Challenge & Festival. It takes place at the Mountjoy Participark on the Mattagami River – August 27th & 28th, 2011.

Artists from Northern Ontario are invited to come and demonstrate their creative talents, display and sell their work, connect with other artists/artisans and meet with local art enthusiasts. Art in the Park is open to all artists living in Northern Ontario and working in the visual and performing arts. This year presents a myriad of fine art and craft, including: drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, pottery, jewelry, photography, textiles arts and more! Artists will be offering face painting and instruction on artistic techniques.
Vendors and displays are open Saturday August 27th and Sunday August 28th from 9:00am till 5:00pm for your viewing and shopping enjoyment.
Admission is Free!
