Depending on the division you enter, The Great Canadian Kayak Challenge will take place on the Mattagami and Mountjoy Rivers, including a short paddle on Miller Lake. The check-in booth will be located at the Mattagami River Beach, directly south-west of the Mattagami River Bridge located on Algonquin Boulevard.
This is a flatwater course with a mild current.
Note: Routes are subject to change. Participants are encouraged to visit this website regularly to monitor changes and updates to the event. Final course maps and complete schedule of events will be available for viewing at the registration tent on the day of the event.
A welcome bag and race bib will be provided to all participants at this time. All participants will be asked to sign a waiver of liability including a model release during registration.
Participants MUST attend a pre-challenge briefing that will be held prior to challenge start time(s).
Boat sizes will be inspected at this time to ensure size compliance.
